Based in Mid Wales and covering the Shropshire borders, we bring expert knowledge, professional service, and years of hands-on experience to every project we undertake.

Our Story

HIJ Electrical Contractors was founded in 2021 by Iwan Jones and Huw Jones, built on decades of experience and a shared vision for modern, reliable electrical solutions.

Before HIJ, Iwan successfully ran David Iwan Jones Electrical Contractors for over 20 years, developing a trusted name in the industry. Huw started his journey as an apprentice under Iwan’s guidance and, over the course of ten years, became a fully qualified electrician and a key part of the business.

In 2021, Iwan decided to close his former company and launch HIJ Electrical Contractors with Huw as co-director. Together, they’ve built a forward-thinking company that retains the values of quality, trust, and long-term client relationships.

Agricultural Expertise

A significant part of our work lies in the agricultural sector, where we have developed trusted partnerships with dairy and poultry farmers across Mid Wales and the Shropshire borders.

We currently support over 300 poultry sheds, providing regular maintenance, fault-finding, system upgrades, and full electrical installations. We understand the unique demands of farming environments and pride ourselves on delivering efficient, robust solutions that keep essential operations running smoothly.
