1. Payment Terms
Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Late payments may incur interest at a rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
2. Methods of Payment
Accepted payment methods include Bank transfer & Cheques.

3. VAT
VAT has been applied to this invoice at the prevailing rate. Our VAT Registration Number is GB383807567.
4. Retention of Title
All goods and materials supplied remain the property of HIJ Electrical Contractors Ltd until full payment is received.
5. Disputes
Any disputes regarding this invoice must be raised in writing within 7 days of the invoice date. Failure to do so will be deemed acceptance of the invoice.
6. Additional Charges
Additional work requested outside the original scope will be invoiced separately.
Call-out fees or emergency rates apply outside normal working hours 8AM – 5PM, unless otherwise agreed.
7. Liability
HIJ Electrical Contractors Ltd shall not be liable for any consequential loss or damage arising from delays, defective materials, or workmanship, except where required by law.
8. Warranty
All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion, subject to normal usage and maintenance.
Manufacturer warranties apply to materials where applicable.
9. Health & Safety
All work is carried out in full compliance with current Health & Safety regulations, and in accordance with industry best practices.
10. Certification
HIJ Electrical Contractors Ltd is an NICEIC Approved Contractor, and all work is completed to the required industry standards.
11. Cancellation
Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Charges may apply for late cancellations or missed appointments.
12. Governing Law
This invoice and any related agreement are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Estimates/Quotes Terms and Conditions

1. Validity
This estimate/quote is valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise agreed.
2. Scope of Work
The pricing provided is based on the details and specifications discussed. Any changes to the scope may result in a revised estimate.
3. VAT
All prices are exclusive of VAT, which will be charged at 20%. HIJ Electrical Contractors Ltd is VAT registered (VAT No: GB383807567).
4. Materials and Fixtures
Materials listed are subject to availability. Equivalent alternatives may be used if necessary.
Final material selection must be confirmed before work commences.
Materials and Cable prices are set to the London metal exchange on day of estimate, any significant changes to the L.M.E. between the date of estimate and date of build will incur a slight price increase or decrease if deemed necessary.
5. Exclusions
This estimate excludes Plastering, decorating, remedial work, disposal of waste, unless otherwise stated.
6. Access and Working Hours
The client is responsible for providing clear access to the site during normal working hours Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm].
7. Certification
All works will comply with BS7671 wiring regulations and, where applicable, an NICEIC certificate will be issued upon completion and full payment.
8. Payment Terms
A deposit of 25% may be required before work begins.
Payment terms are 30 days from the date of the final invoice.
9. Additional Work
Any variations or additional work requested will be quoted separately and require approval before commencement.
10. Health & Safety
All work will be carried out in accordance with current Health & Safety legislation and industry standards.
11. Insurance & Liability
HIJ Electrical Contractors Ltd is fully insured for public liability and employee cover. Proof of insurance available upon request.
12. Acceptance
By accepting this quote, you agree to the terms outlined above. A written confirmation (email or signed acceptance) is required before scheduling the work.
